Refractory materials are essentially “stubborn materials” resistant to extreme heat, erosion or corrosion – depending on the application, process, industry and equipment. Whether a refractory consists of bricks, castable, ramming, gunning or fiber materials, it’s all designed to maintain their strength – or specific characteristics in extreme conditions – mainly high temperatures. These materials are often used in highly technical industries as the building blocks for large production facilities, such as in refineries, smelters, incinerators, glass and cement.  PBE Projects aims to ensure it’s done right!
